.The Dinner Plan.

If you want to be artistically awakened and transcend your dinner experience, simply attend the next House of Plates event. At Tuesday night’s The Dinner Plan, Daniel Hart‘s music was mesmerizing, the attendee’s dinner style impeccable, and the sunset terrace was engaging with wonderful conversation and delicious food. Scot and I had the enjoyable privilege of awarding the most stylish with amazing care packages. (And it was very difficult to only select a few.) What a bittersweet goodnite because we can hardly wait until the next one!

Cinderella’s Slippers

I can’t wait to sip a Woodford Reserve mint julep next Saturday at Lee Park Junior Conservancy’s Day at the Races! Nothing beats Southern hospitality, cigar rolling, lawn games, and, yes, big beautiful hats for the 138th Kentucky Derby!

Backstage At Accessible Luxury

We couldn’t resist shooting the ghostly images that were happening backstage at this year’s Accessible Luxury featuring the intricate designs of Oscar de la Renta. And it was quite a chaotic yet highly managed backstage scene. Everyone from the hairstylists to the show producers were working at supersonic speed and right on task. It was an impressive sight.

Lubov Azria, She Makes Me Happy

We spent the day discovering the magic that is Lubov Azria. She loves to dance and it’s contagious in everything she does. She loves to hear personal experiences with fashion and style and it might turn into a three hour long discussion with testimonials and tears, but she’s genuine and frank in her thoughts and confessions. I left with a completely different perspective of BCBGMaxAzria and Hervé Léger, which has become a staple piece at SMU and youth in general. But I have to admit, I’ve never seen anyone rock a fringe bandage dress like Lubov. She simply makes me happy.

At The Ritz

We were passing through the Ritz-Carlton for the RMH Young Friends’ Studio 54 party when we came across this girl sitting at a cocktail table. The swept-up ballerina bun and black and white scalloped dress seemed so perfectly Ritz-Carlton. Maybe not from the seventies, but from another era, like Scorsese’s Boardwalk Empire. So romantic.

Fresh Faces + Nhã Khanh

The Fresh Faces of Fashion show was a spectacular presentation to raise awareness for The Suicide and Crisis Center. Krystal Schlegel and eleven other young style ambassadors walked the runway to show their support. Nhã Khanh dazzled the crowd with her Spring 2012 collection preview. Contrast leather details and a color palette of canary yellow, black, and ivory added an exciting new spin to Nhã Khanh’s familiar classics. I’ve got my eye on one of those asymmetrical dresses for my summer wardrobe!
