Boots & Bling

At Friday night’s Boots And Bling, benefitting the Vince Young Foundation, the garb was reminiscent of the Boulevard (SMU tailgating for those not familiar with the bubble), but even more opulent. Courtney Kerr played the part doused in turquoise and a playful zip-front minidress. Candice Young sported gold studs and cap toe boots. Other favorites were a white flare-skirt Hervé dress, a dramatic floor-skimming jean skirt, and a striking pair of just-over-the-knee fringe boots. You can never go wrong with Jerry Jeff Walker and the more events we can mix football and fashion, the happier Scot will be.

.The Dinner Plan.

If you want to be artistically awakened and transcend your dinner experience, simply attend the next House of Plates event. At Tuesday night’s The Dinner Plan, Daniel Hart‘s music was mesmerizing, the attendee’s dinner style impeccable, and the sunset terrace was engaging with wonderful conversation and delicious food. Scot and I had the enjoyable privilege of awarding the most stylish with amazing care packages. (And it was very difficult to only select a few.) What a bittersweet goodnite because we can hardly wait until the next one!

Birth of the Cool

Anytime V.O.D. Boutique throws a soirée, you can bet you’re going to see the coolest people wearing the coolest vintage. And not to mention the coolest labels like Isabel Marant and Jeremy Laing. Sometimes, they’re so cool, it’s intimidating.

Greer Garson Gala

Attending the Greer Garson Gala only made Scot and I’s addiction for Boardwalk Empire run even deeper. There were pretty dames by the dozen, lots of dice throwing, and the Dallas skyline from the Union Station balcony never looked so damn beautiful. What a night!

Stiletto Strut

The best of the over-the-top novelty stilettos appeared to be the theme at this year’s Stiletto Strut. And it never gets old documenting 500 women, stiletto stomping, around the block of Neiman Marcus downtown in the name of The Family Place. Our personal favorite: the white metal curlycue birdcage heels!

Lubov Azria, She Makes Me Happy

We spent the day discovering the magic that is Lubov Azria. She loves to dance and it’s contagious in everything she does. She loves to hear personal experiences with fashion and style and it might turn into a three hour long discussion with testimonials and tears, but she’s genuine and frank in her thoughts and confessions. I left with a completely different perspective of BCBGMaxAzria and Hervé Léger, which has become a staple piece at SMU and youth in general. But I have to admit, I’ve never seen anyone rock a fringe bandage dress like Lubov. She simply makes me happy.
